GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.• Locate the head in advance and draw its approximate size using an oval. • Divide the head in half with the centre horizontal line. Draw 1 more above head. At the same distance, add an edge top line. • Under the centre horizontal line, add 4 more at the same distance. At 1/3 of this distance, add the lowest line. • Draw a central vertical line the centre of the head. • Draw 2 vertical lines on the sides of the head. From them, draw from them to the sides 2 lines: -1 line at the same distance and 1 line 2/3 to the left -1 line at the same distance and 1 2/3 to the right. The left and rightmost lines are the vertical boundaries of your drawing.

STEP 1. Sketch auxiliary shapes and lines for the torsos. Extend the line from the torso to the lower part of the body.

STEP 2. Mark the auxiliary lines for the face. Sketch the silhouette of the arms and joints.

STEP 3. Mark out the eyes and mouth. Outline the shoulders, neck and chest, bringing this part together. In Christ's hand, draw a circle. Erase the excess.

STEP 4. Detail the face and draw the hair. Make the outlines of the fingers more distinct. Draw the collar and a button.

STEP 5. Finish with the fingers. Draw the hair on the back. Sketch the clothing. Erase any excess lines.

STEP 6. Draw the hair and wavy beard. Add pleats to the garment. Work the arms.

STEP 7. Add small lines for the print.

STEP 8. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour Christ, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.
